Job Summary
Spalding University is seeking a candidate to lead our graduate and professional programs in the School of Business. Successful candidates are passionate about recruiting for, building, and leading graduate and professional programs, while teaching and supporting students. The position will also include leading the capstone projects for graduate students and teaching leadership and/or management related courses at the graduate and possibly undergraduate level. This position reports directly to the Shirley and William Merke Chair of the School of Business.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Promotion/Recruitment/External Relations: External and internal development (promotion) of our current graduate and professional programs (MBA, MSM, certificate programs, online programs) to recruit students and build enrollments including but not limited to information sessions (in companies/on campus/virtually), alumni relations, working with prospective students, managing the inquiry process, and working with the School of Business Advisory Board.
- Internal Operations: Internal operations include but are not limited to schedule management, adjunct faculty management, admissions process management, budget management, advising graduate students, and representing the graduate programs on Graduate Committee.
- Strategic Planning: Strategic planning to include curriculum review and innovation, including potential new programs, as well as working with the Chair of the School of Business on the overall assessment of the programs.
- Faculty Responsibilities: Faculty responsibilities will be as designated by the contract to include teaching, scholarship, and service. Faculty rank and tenure-track status of faculty position to be determined based on credentials.
Skills and Educational Requirements
- Earned doctorate in management or business-related field with the appropriate graduate hours to meet SACSCOC guidelines for teaching graduate level leadership, management, or business-related courses.
- Previous administrative, teaching, and advising experience at the university level.
- Faculty rank and tenure-track status of faculty position to be determined based on credentials.
Interrelations
Daily contact with administration, faculty, staff, students, and the general public. Must have an appreciation and respect for diverse populations.
