Director of Information Technology Programs/Professor of the Practice
Job Description
This faculty position involves teaching undergraduate and graduate programs in Information Technology at the University of Kansas Edwards Campus. Responsibilities include program leadership (50%), teaching (40%), and service (10%).
Program Leadership
- Coordinate course scheduling, staffing, budgets, records, and reports.
- Supervise faculty, provide mentoring, and ensure program quality.
- Oversee curriculum development, recruitment, student advising, and assessment.
Teaching
Teach four courses per year in information technology-related programs, including curriculum development, instructional design, and online delivery.
Service
Serve on the School of Professional Studies Academic Program Leadership Team and contribute to university service missions.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
- Relevant experience based on rank.
- Excellence in communication, leadership, industry involvement, online teaching, and use of technology.
