The College is looking for exceptional colleagues to join the MVCC community. We are currently seeking a Director for Law Enforcement Programs our School of Public and Human Services. The Director for Law Enforcement Programs provides leadership and direction for law enforcement programs, services and activities, as well as collaboration efforts with the School of Public and Human Services.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Provides effective leadership and direction regarding student recruitment and retention plans;
  • Coordinates and schedules the delivery of law enforcement training programs;
  • Assists with the selection, training, motivation, and evaluation of the quality of law enforcement part-time professionals' performance;
  • Teaches twelve (12) credit hours per annum in the field of criminal justice/law enforcement;
  • Identifies and establishes learning objectives and assessment tools for law enforcement program offerings in accordance with the Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS);
  • Coordinates all disbursements and expenditures of funds for all programs, maintains office records, budgets, and statistics;
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Dean for the School of Public and Human Services.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Criminal Justice or related area
  • Fifteen (15) years of law enforcement experience
  • Experience in supervising and managing DCJS approved police basic schools
  • Understanding of outcomes and expectations of program policies and implementations
  • Knowledge of State and Federal emergency management
