Director of Orientation & Family Programs (SA26013)

The Director is responsible for the administration of all aspects of the programs and services within the Orientation and Family Programs Office including program planning, development and implementation. These activities support the welcoming, onboarding, success, and retention of new students at Minnesota State University, Mankato. The Director manages the office's planning process, personnel, and budget resources.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree
• Minimum five years in student affairs, enrollment management, or the development and delivery of first-year student services and programs in a post-secondary setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
• Knowledge of post-secondary education and measures of student success.
• Knowledge of student development, community development, and student learning theories and application in practice.
• Experience developing and implementing first-year student initiatives and effective practices supporting student transition, success, and retention.
• Successful supervisory experience.
• Experience developing and managing budgets.
• Experience developing collaborative partnerships across departments and divisions.
• Strong written, oral (including presentation) and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience working with databases and using technology in retention and communication.
• Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative assessment methods and using data for decision-making.

Salary Range: $54,344.00 - $116,608.00
