The Director of Recruiting Operations is responsible for contributing in all aspects of the recruiting process for Football. This position will coordinate the screening process and ensure all NCAA eligibility requirements and Virginia Tech admission requirements for high school and transfer prospective student-athletes are met. This position is vital in ensuring a seamless and compliant admissions process for recruits while supporting the program's recruiting administrative tasks.

Additionally, this role involves coordinating recruiting events, managing the recruiting budget, coordinating with recruiting travel logistics, and organizing football camps/clinics.

The position reports to the Asst. AD, Sr. Director of Player Personnel / Football. This role is responsible for adhering to all department and university policies and procedures, as well as the rules, regulations, bylaws, and interpretations of the Atlantic Coast Conference [ACC] and National Collegiate Athletic Association [NCAA].

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field with relevant experience, or a master's degree.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Experience using Teamworks and/or a similar recruiting/compliance database solution.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to assess, prioritize and execute an array of important tasks around shared priorities. Ability to accomplish multiple tasks within demanding timeframes.
• Excellent supervisory, interpersonal and organizational skills necessary.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Track record of accountability and follow-through.
• Willingness and desire to create a positive working relationship with other departmental offices and teams.
• Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
• Excited to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining high standards for all work performed.
• Experience evaluating transcripts and high school class schedules.
• Familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations related specifically to football recruitment and initial eligibility.

• Previous experience in a similar role within a college football program.

$50,000 to $60,000 commensurate with experience.
