Description
The Director of Recruitment and Admission – First Year Students position is part of the MCPHS Enrollment Division and is responsible for the recruitment and admission of new first-time, first year undergraduate students to the university.
- Develop and maintain strong knowledge of all offered degree programs, program admission requirements, market trends and recruitment strategy
- Meet or exceed enrollment targets for assigned populations
- Oversee the First-Year recruitment staff
- Collaborate with the International Admissions Office on recruitment plans and strategies for international students within assigned populations
- Annually create the First Year Applicant Review Manual and train staff
- Effectively utilize information and data to inform admissions plans and strategies
- Develop, implement, and monitor annual recruitment plans for assigned populations
- Execute and oversee engagement plan for key influencers such as college advisors, high school guidance counselors and teachers
- Meet with and maintain communication with academic department Deans and Program Directors
- Monitor admissions staff follow-up and contact with prospective students and applicants
- Using Salesforce CRM platform, review admission decision audits and approve for decision release
- Maintain current knowledge on institutional aid as well as federal and state financial aid program and deliver staff training on these topics
- Create and conduct ongoing staff training on recruitment, admissions, and affordability topics
- Working collaboratively with multiple departments, develop, execute, and monitor annual recruitment travel plan in support of first-year recruitment
- Collaborate with Enrollment Marketing and Enrollment Operations to plan and execute annual Admissions Visit Program in support of first-year recruitment to include campus and virtual events and appointments.
- Plan and conduct ongoing program product knowledge training for staff in collaboration with academic departments
- Participate as a member of the Enrollment Management Leadership Team
- Conduct both email, telephone, and virtual follow-up with students
- Position offers flexible, hybrid work
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience in higher education enrollment, financial and and/or admissions
- 3+ years of experience in Client Relationship Management systems technology
- Work history of meeting or exceeding higher education enrollment targets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Background in staff coaching and leadership
- Recruitment event experience
- Ability to collaborate across multiple university departments
- Able to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Able to travel on university recruitment business
Preferred:
- Master's degree
- Salesforce experience
