Following the appointment of a new Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO) and internal restructure of our Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Digital & Technology Services (DTS) are seeking an outstanding leader to join us as Director of Service Delivery & Resilience. Reporting directly to the CDIO, this strategic role will lead the transformation of service delivery across the University of Nottingham’s global digital estate.
As the senior leader responsible for service delivery, operational excellence and resilience, you will define and deliver a clear vision for a secure, reliable and customer-focused digital ecosystem. You will lead the development of service strategies, resilience frameworks and operating models that ensure our technology services remain robust, scalable and aligned to the university’s strategic ambitions.
You will oversee service management, business continuity, disaster recovery and major incident response, while driving continuous improvement through industry best practice, performance insight and effective governance.
Working closely with colleagues across DTS and the wider University, you will champion a proactive, resilience-first culture that balances operational stability with digital innovation.
We are seeking a highly credible leader with significant experience in large-scale IT operations, service management and organisational transformation. You will bring strong stakeholder engagement, supplier management and crisis leadership capabilities, alongside a passion for delivering exceptional digital services.

£113,200 to £138,400 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
