initiatives, annual assessment priorities and long-term goals (3-5 years). Provide direct supervision to the department management team and indirect guidance for all Student Health staff. Actively create and identify professional development opportunities that build and maintain a growth-minded culture for yourself and the department. Opportunities exist within professional organizations such as the American College Health Association, Southern College Health Association, American College Healthcare Executives and UNC System Student Health Directors. Consistently demonstrate fiscal accountability regarding the management of the Student Health budget. Effectively balance Student Health's identity as a revenue generating auxiliary with the implementation of access strategies that reduce barriers to help-seeking behaviors. Optimize both internal and external resources to navigate the changing landscape of higher education including new health priorities and UNC system policies. Invest in the power of collaboration to promote holistic health across the unit, division, and institution. Your first team is the HWB Directors: AVC Office and peer directors of counseling & psychological services, university recreation and wellness promotion. Actively contribute to other institutional leadership via the HWB Leadership Team (including the HWB associate directors), Student Affairs Department Heads and other university committees. Be an active and positive public representative of Student Health in interactions with students, family members, faculty/staff, and campus/community partners. Minimum Experience / Education: Master's degree in health administration, business administration, nursing public health or related field. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, budget management, and supervision of professional staff. Minimum five years of experience leading a moderately complex healthcare clinic or organization. Preferred Education Skills and Experience: Preferred candidates will have: More than five years of experience leading a collegiate student health center and/or moderately complex healthcare clinic or organization. More than three years supervising both administrative and clinical staff Holds the Fellow of the American College Healthcare Executives ( FACHE ) or Fellow of the American College Health Association ( FACHA ) certification credential for healthcare management leaders. Demonstrated ability to build and lead successful staff teams.
