As a key member of the Education Group Senior Leadership Team, the postholder will play a central role in delivering Warwick’s Education and Student Experience Strategy and strengthening the University’s position as a sector leader in graduate outcomes.

The Student Opportunity team at the University of Warwick is the university’s central division supporting student employability, skills development, work experience, volunteering, and international opportunities. The team’s purpose is to help students build confidence, develop capabilities, and connect with experiences that shape their future careers.

A major focus of the role is advancing student employability through innovative, inclusive and accessible opportunities, working in partnership with academic departments, senior leaders and external organisations. The Director will work to embed employability, expand work‑based learning opportunities, and ensure activities are optimised for positive impact for Warwick’s students through engaging, high‑quality guidance and support.

The postholder will also lead Warwick’s approach to internationalisation and mobility, promoting transformative global learning experiences, strengthening international partnerships, and supporting initiatives that embed intercultural learning across the curriculum and student experience.

Success in the role will require a collaborative, outward‑facing leader who can influence across the University, build strong external networks, drive service innovation and ensure inclusive, high‑impact provision for all students.
