Director of TRiO - Grant Funded

Orange County Community College (SUNY Orange) invites applications for a Project Director to lead its TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program. This full-time position is funded through a federal TRIO SSS grant and is responsible for the strategic leadership, daily operation, and continuous improvement of a program that supports the academic success of low-income, first-generation college students and students with disabilities.

The TRiO SSS program at SUNY Orange provides comprehensive services including a summer bridge/orientation experience, early academic skill assessments, individualized success plans, intensive academic coaching, peer mentoring, leadership development, cultural and educational enrichment, and online community-building platforms.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide vision, oversight, and leadership for all aspects of the TRIO SSS grant program.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise professional and clerical staff.
• Design and manage student recruitment, assessment, and selection processes.
• Deliver coaching services to students and support their academic, personal, and professional development.
• Collaborate with the Institutional Planning, Assessment, and Research department to develop effective data tracking and reporting systems.
• Monitor program goals and performance metrics to ensure progress, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure full compliance with federal regulations and grant terms and conditions.
• Manage the program budget in alignment with institutional and federal policies.
• Promote awareness of program goals and impact across campus and in the broader community.
• Serve as the primary liaison to federal program staff.
• Participate in campus committees and meetings as needed.

Job Requirements:

Education Required: Master's Degree in higher education, education, psychology or related field.

Experience Required: Three years administrative and supervisory experience in education or a related field.

• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Must be able to travel between the college's two campuses and other sites.
• Bilingual Skills.

Salary: $54,786-$70,000 per annum; commensurate with experience. This is a Staff & Chair Grant Funded, Grade 60, 12 month position.
