SAU Tech is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Workforce Training to lead and expand workforce development, career and
technical education, and continuing education programs.
This leadership position plays a critical role in supporting SAU Tech's
mission to provide high-quality technical education and training that meets regional workforce demands in areas including:
- Aerospace
& Defense - Welding
- Robotics & Automation
- Cybersecurity
- Advanced Manufacturing
- Other High-Demand
Technical Fields
Position Details- Location: Camden, AR (On-Campus)
- Schedule: Full-Time, 12-Month
Position - Hours: 40 Hours per Week Relocation Required for applicants not residing within a reasonable commuting distance of Camden,
Arkansas.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives that strengthen workforce
development and technical education programs. - Lead growth and innovation efforts aligned with industry needs.
- Oversee
development, implementation, and evaluation of workforce training and technical education programs. - Ensure programs remain relevant
and responsive to employer demands. - Partner directly with employers to identify workforce needs.
- Develop customized
training, incumbent worker training, and short-term credential programs. - Build partnerships with industry leaders, economic
development organizations, community partners, state agencies, and K-12 education systems. - Expand internships, apprenticeships, and
work-based learning opportunities. - Provide supervision, support, and professional development for faculty and staff.
- Support
recruitment, retention, credential attainment, and career readiness initiatives. - Identify grant opportunities and assist with grant
implementation and management. - Manage division budgets and ensure adherence to institutional, accreditation, state, and federal
requirements.
Minimum Qualifications Education
Master's Degree in: Workforce Development Education, Career
& Technical Education or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in
workforce development, career and technical education, industry training, or related fields.
Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management
experience
