About the area
The Student Experience function at UWA India provides leadership for the development and delivery of student-facing services and programs that support engagement, wellbeing, and student success across the Mumbai and Chennai campuses. The portfolio encompasses student administration, wellbeing and counselling services, co-curricular and extracurricular engagement, student life, and student support programs. The function plays a key role in supporting the establishment and ongoing development of UWA India by ensuring student services align with UWA’s global standards while responding to local regulatory, cultural, and operational requirements in India. Working collaboratively across the University and with external partners, the Student Experience team delivers coordinated and student-centred services that contribute to academic success, positive campus experience, and the sustainable growth of UWA India.
About the opportunity
- Provides strategic and operational leadership for student services across UWA India campuses, delivering an integrated, student centred approach to engagement, wellbeing, success and progression that aligns with UWA global standards and the Indian higher education context.
- Works collaboratively with academic and professional colleagues across UWA India and the broader University to lead student experience initiatives, contribute to institutional planning, and support partnerships that enhance student engagement and campus community.
- Ensures student services operate within approved governance frameworks and regulatory requirements, while managing resources effectively and maintaining a safe, inclusive and high-quality campus environment.
About you
- A relevant postgraduate qualification and extensive experience in student experience, student services, education management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and senior leadership experience.
- Demonstrated senior leadership experience in the development and delivery of student experience or student services within a higher education or similarly complex organisational environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead integrated service delivery models that support student engagement, wellbeing, inclusion, and student success outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams and fostering a collaborative, service-oriented organisational culture.
