Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate must possess at minimum, a Master’s degree from a recognised university, which should be in Business Administration, Law, Science or Engineering or a closely related field, with an emphasis on Technology Creation and/or Management.
Candidates should also possess:
- Ideally at least five (5) years’ experience in management or administration of complex projects across different disciplines
- Extensive experience and success in the leadership of research administration and management across multiple disciplines
- Proven expertise in knowledge transfer, project monitoring and evaluation, knowledge management
- A strong record of strategy and policy development to engage major regional/international donors in Public/Private-University partnerships for knowledge creation and transfer
Candidates with experience in commercialisation of intellectual property would have an advantage.
The following would be considered assets:
- PhD in Business Administration, Law, Science or Engineering or a closely related field, with an emphasis on Technology Creation and/or Management
- A substantial record of relevant research and publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals
