The Division of Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals is recruiting faculty at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank in the Adjunct, Clinical X, Health Sciences (HS) Clinical, or In Residence series. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience.
Selected candidates will join a major academic medical center and established fellowship training program. This position may have clinical responsibilities at both the San Francisco and Oakland campuses and would actively contribute to the Department's mission of excellence in research, education, and patient care.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree, with eligibility for medical licensure in California
- Board eligibility or certification in Pediatrics
- Board eligibility or certification in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology (timely certification expected for recent fellowship graduates)
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated interest in academic pediatrics, including clinical care, research, and teaching
- Experience supervising and mentoring medical students, residents, or fellows
- Evidence of scholarly activity such as publications, research, quality improvement, or national presentations
- Clinical expertise in pediatric hematology, oncology, and stem cell transplantation, with ability to manage complex patients in a multidisciplinary setting
For positions that are 51% effort or more: The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $114,100-$344,400. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
For positions that are 50% effort or less: See Table 2 for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $81,500-$246,000.
