Your role
Successful candidates will pursue a Doctorate in Information Systems and will work on an industry partnership in collaboration with: Wixdom, a Luxembourg-based FinTech specializing in investment crowdfunding market analytics as well as Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and New Technology (EINT) research group.
This position offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to an interdisciplinary, high-profile project with real-world applications at the intersection of entrepreneurial finance and AI. The objective is to develop an AI-powered mentorship tool to help entrepreneurs set up and optimise their fundraising campaigns. Using extensive public crowdfunding data, the tool will provide personalised, data-driven guidance based on real-time analytics from thousands of crowdfunding campaigns, helping entrepreneurs to improve their fundraising results.
The doctoral candidate will be primarily responsible for conducting information systems research, carrying out user interface design studies, and investigating human-computer interaction using various methods. In addition, the candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the organisation of networking events, such as conferences, and disseminate results through scientific publications in IS journals and at conferences.
Your profile
- Master's degree in Information Systems, Business Informatics, Management, Entrepreneurship, Finance or related field
- Interest in crowdfunding and entrepreneurship as well as emerging technologies
- Interest in applying methods commonly used in information systems research (e.g., qualitative, quantitative, design science research)
- A collaborative team player with a desire to make a personal impact within our interdisciplinary research group
- The commitment to participate in the design and implementation of high-quality solutions that solve significant problems
- Self-initiative, creativity, curiosity, flexibility and enthusiasm to work
- The position requires English-language proficiency for both written and verbal communication. Knowledge of French, German and/or Luxembourgish is not required
