The Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) at the University of Luxembourg is a leading international research and innovation centre in secure, reliable and trustworthy ICT systems and services.
The SigCom research group of SnT, headed by Prof. Symeon Chatzinotas, focuses on wireless/satellite communications and networking. The research areas focus on the formulation, modeling, design, and analysis of future 6G communication networks that are capable of supporting new services for digital ecosystems.
Your role
The successful candidate will conduct research on quantum MIMO systems, focusing on the development of theoretical models, communication protocols, and signal processing techniques for quantum-enhanced wireless networks. The work will involve designing and simulating quantum MIMO architectures, integrating quantum and classical communication layers, and contributing to the realization of quantum internet infrastructures.
Your profile
The candidate should hold an MSc degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Quantum Technologies, preferably with a focus on quantum communications or quantum information science. Required qualifications include foundational skills in quantum information science and familiarity with tools such as Qiskit, QuTiP, and PennyLane.
