For the 2026/2027 academic year, the ViA Scientific Institute announces three state-funded doctoral study positions in the following research topics:

Doctoral thesis research topic: “Ecology as a Value Economy: Sustainability Narratives of Cultural Products”, under the supervision of leading researcher Ieva Gintere, PhD; a supervisor from the field of economics and business will be specified.
Doctoral thesis research topic: “Youth Economic and Active Civic Participation: The Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and Support for Youth Engagement in Planning and Development”, under the supervision of researcher Anna Broka, PhD; a supervisor from the field of economics and business will be specified.
Doctoral thesis research topic: “Behavioural economics, decision-making and societal well-being: Individual decisions, long-term well-being and socially important goals”, under the supervision of leading researcher and professor Vineta Silkāne, Dr psych.; a supervisor from the field of economics and business will be specified.
