Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Animal Science, Veterinary Technology, or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience. Experience with microscope use and maintenance, veterinary anatomy, general laboratory operations, procedures, and safety practices. Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheet software. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work with minimal supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the following: supporting instructional or academic laboratory environments; preparing and maintaining laboratory specimens, cadavers, and dissection materials; using and maintaining microscopes and other laboratory instrumentation; laboratory inventory management, equipment maintenance, and regulatory compliance. Knowledge of sterile techniques, biosafety practices, and proper handling and disposal of biological materials. Coursework or training in veterinary anatomy, parasitology, bacteriology, and laboratory practices associated with veterinary medical education.
