This Assistant Professor in Electronic and Electrical Engineering (Electrification and Electrical Power) will be appointed to contribute to teaching, research and administrative activities in the Discipline of Electronic and Electrical Engineering within the School of Engineering. The appointed candidate will complement the existing staff in the wider Departmental and Engineering School areas of Energy Generation Management and Control, Propulsion, Circuits and Systems.
Increasingly the research groups in the Department and the School are interdisciplinary. In this recruitment call we are interested in growing our teams in Electrification and Electrical Power Management and Control (including application areas e.g. renewable integration, grid-interfaced control systems for solar and wind, high-efficiency power conversion, battery management, advanced power electronics, high efficiency and small scale electrical machines, and system optimisation). The successful applicant will deliver modules and engage in research both the undergraduate and postgraduate level and will also contribute to the growth of the E3 programme across the Faculty.
Post Status Tenure Track - This position is Tenure Track position which is 5-years in the first instance, permanency is subject to satisfying the tenure requirements.
Salary: Appointment will be made on the Lecturer Salary Scale (109BN) commensurate with qualifications / experience and in line with Public Sector Pay Policy [€42,500 to €101,541 per annum] www.tcd.ie/hr/assets/pdf/monthly-academic.pdf
