A 7 month Research Associate position funded by the BBSRC is available to study the extracellular regulation of BMP signalling in the Drosophila embryo. This project, which represents a collaboration between the Ashe and Baldock labs, will use cutting-edge approaches to study the function and localisation of extracellular BMP regulators. This research will capitalise on previous research in the Ashe lab that has uncovered mechanisms of BMP signal reception and interpretation (e.g. Frampton et al, Bio Open 2022; Hoppe et al, Dev Cell 2020; Wilcockson et al, Dev Cell 2019). The Ashe and Baldock labs are part of larger, vibrant research groupings and located in a modern research building, supported by excellent core facilities.
