Features

The Economic History doctoral student at Umea University is expected to acquire a broad knowledge of social science and historical methods and theories, which can prepare her/him for continued work in research and teaching, as well as in investigative activities, such as public and private administration, mass media, museums, archives and in the library system.

Programme Structure

Curriculum:

The doctoral program comprises four years of full-time studies, divided into 75 credits from courses and 165 credits from the doctoral thesis.
The program leads to a PhD-exam.
