Job Description
Teach Economics courses under the Behavioral, Social Sciences and Global Learning Division. Courses may include: Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, and Environmental Economics. Courses may be offered at any of the BHCC campuses, satellite campuses, partner sites, or instructional sites, including but not limited to Chelsea, Malden High School, Freedom House, and Chelsea High School.
Requirements
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Economics or related field.
- Evidence of engagement in culturally responsive pedagogies.
- Experience with high impact teaching and learning practices (examples: undergraduate research, community engagement, critical pedagogies, learning communities).
- Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.
- Must be available to teach at to Chelsea, Malden High School, Freedom House, and Chelsea High School.
- We are seeking faculty to teach one or more of the following courses: Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, and Environmental Economics.
Preferred Requirements
- Community college teaching experience preferred.
- Our students come from a variety of cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, and we are dedicated to providing them with the support they need to succeed. While not required, the ability to read, speak, and write in Spanish or other languages is preferred.
Additional Information
Salary: $1,512 Per Credit Hour
Effective Date: Fall 2026 semester.
