Representative Duties

Economics faculty are members of the Bakersfield College Social Sciences Department. The primary teaching assignment will include instruction at local correctional facilities (prisons and jails), with occasional courses scheduled at other Bakersfield College instructional sites. Candidates with experience or interest in teaching justice-impacted students are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's in economics OR Bachelor's in economics AND Master's in business, business administration, business management, business education, finance or political science OR The equivalent. A demonstrated sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and students with disabilities.
