Research environment
Every PhD candidate is provided with office space, computer facilities and administrative support. We make a particular effort to include the PhD candidates in the research activities of the department.
We also arrange the possibility for PhD candidates to pay a long term visit to foreign institution that are part of the department's networks.

Other requirements
General requirements
- Applicants should hold a Master's degree in business economics, economics, finance or another quantitative discipline. In addition applicants should have a strong background in economics and master the standard tools in mathematics (linear algebra, calculus, optimisation), and statistics (hypothesis testing, estimation).
- They should also be fluent in English. Moreover, applications with master's degrees from non-Nordic countries should complement their applications with recent GMAT or GRE test scores.
Tuition Fees
The programme is fully funded. As a PhD Research Scholar, you will be a member of our faculty, and you will be both a student and an employee.
Funding
The PhD programme at NHH is a four-year fully funded programme, PhD Research Scholars are therefore both a student, and an employee.
