About The Role
The School is seeking a Research Associate (Level A) or Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Level B), in a new position that has been created to contribute to the NHMRC Ideas Grant “Health in a New Home”. This position will lead analyses of linked data on refugee health.
Key responsibilities include;
• Supporting the study investigators
• Managing and analysing large, linked datasets
• Preparation of reports and journal papers
• Supervision of higher degree research students
About You
As a Research Associate or Postdoctoral Research Fellow, you will be a critical thinker with the ability to analyse and solve problems. You will have proven experience in research project management or writing ethics applications,and be a motivated self-starter who thrives in discussions and growing ideas.
Along with your demonstrated project management skills, you will also have:
• A Masters degree in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology or related discipline (Level A)
• A PhD in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology or related discipline. (Level B)
• A growing track record of quality publications
• Knowledge of modern epidemiological and statistical methods.

Remuneration/Salary
Base Salary Range: $89,818 to $109,393 pa (Level A)/ $119,475 to $141,405 pa (Level B
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
The position can be full-time and will be made on fixed term basis for two years and four months.

1. Proven ability to manage and conduct sophisticated analysis on large, complex epidemiological datasets using at least one of R, SAS, Stata and Python.

4. Ability to work as part of a team and to meet deadlines.
