"Education Faculty Member"

Yukon University is seeking an Education faculty member with an established research portfolio, committed to decolonial teaching, learning, and unlearning practices, and enthusiastic about program development. The role involves leading the development of a made-in-Yukon Education degree, providing high-quality learning experiences to students, and engaging in research and scholarly activities relevant to the North.

Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree in Education or related field;
• Strong scholarly and/or creative activity in Education, preferably in partnership with Indigenous, northern, or rural/remote communities;
• Previous postsecondary teaching experience; and
• Demonstrated commitment to service work, whether within a university context or through community engagement.

Assets:

• K-12 teaching experience, preferably within a Yukon, northern, and/or rural/remote context;
• Mentoring developmental faculty and/or emerging scholars;
• Teaching Indigenous students and/or students in remote communities;
• Curriculum development and program assessment; and/or
• Teaching through distance-education technologies.
