Education Manager
- Full time, fixed term until January 2027

- Base Salary $146,197 + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
The University of Sydney's Centre for English Teaching (CET) is seeking an experienced and visionary Education Manager to lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of our Professional Programs. This role is central to CET's strategic direction, driving innovation in curriculum, staff development, and student experience. You'll work closely with the Director and senior stakeholders to ensure CET remains a leader in the ELICOS sector and a key contributor to the University's educational mission.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- lead the development and delivery of CET's Professional Programs, ensuring quality, innovation, and compliance
- manage and mentor a high-performing team of teaching professionals
- foster strategic relationships across the University and with external stakeholders to align programs with institutional and industry needs
- support curriculum development across CET and the Learning Hub, including customised and group study programs
- drive staff development initiatives and contribute to organisational learning and cultural change
- oversee student welfare, academic progress, and access to learning systems
- contribute to TEQSA and NEAS compliance processes and represent CET in industry forums.
About you
- postgraduate qualifications in Education and Education Management (or equivalent experience)
- extensive experience managing professional English language programs in a large, competitive educational environment
- demonstrated leadership in curriculum innovation, blended learning, and assessment design
- proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teaching teams
- strong understanding of compliance frameworks in higher education and ELICOS sectors
- experience fostering cross-institutional and industry partnerships to support strategic educational outcomes.
