Electronic Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION
Part-time staff will provide technical support for ECE laboratories, repair and calibrate basic equipment, and procure, maintain and manage ECE equipment and supplies.
OUTCOME
Well managed and maintained inventory of equipment and supplies and adequate technical support for laboratory and project work of ECE students and faculty.
- Procure, organize, maintain, repair and replace equipment and supplies used in the ECE program, including 3D printers. 30%
- Provide undergraduate instruction in safe and proper use of electronic equipment. 10%
- Assist engineering students with assigned projects. 30%
- Assist faculty in laboratory preparations, primarily in engineering design courses. 15%
- Supervise work study students in their performance of duties. 10%
- Member of the Campus Safety Committee and Lab Safety Sub-Committee. 5%
Qualifications
- At least one year experience in the operation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of basic electronic equipment.
- At least one year experience in instruction in the area of electronic instrumentation.
- At least one year experience in the supervision and coordination of small project teams.
