Embodied Intern - WUNC Youth Reporting Internship
WUNC – News is hiring an intern for Embodied as part of its Youth Reporting Internship program.
This is a paid position with flexible hours, up to 16 per week, with a pay rate of $18/hour. The position will be in-person with some possibilities for hybrid/remote work. A computer will be provided.
The position is expected to start in mid-August and continue through the end of the year. The intern is expected to participate in a showcase event in early December, most likely on December 3 or December 10, 2026. These positions are open to currently enrolled college students and recent graduates.
This intern will work within WUNC’s Digital Content department primarily with the team behind Embodied — a radio show and podcast telling stories about sex, relationships and health.
Job duties will primarily include content creation for web and social media platforms. This intern will provide feedback on the show’s social and digital strategy and also will be asked for production support as needed. The candidate will support the producer, editor and host of Embodied in engaging their audience through social and digital platforms. Candidates for this position should have some graphic design and/or digital marketing experience.
