Emergency Management Specialist
The Emergency Management Specialist, under the supervision of the Campus Emergency Manager, provides operational support and development of Dartmouth emergency preparedness and business continuity efforts, and coordinates, plans, develops, and implements emergency preparedness/disaster response processes and procedures.
Contribute to the design, development, coordination, and implementation of Dartmouth's All-Hazards Emergency Operations and Continuity of Operations Plans and Protocols, as well as Incident Specific Plans. Assist in the development of training materials and conduct training to meet the needs of our students, faculty, and staff for emergency situations. Build relationships across campus and with local, regional, state, and federal agencies to improve interdepartmental cooperation in emergency situations. Assist in the development of regular Emergency Preparedness Drills, which should incorporate local, regional, state, and federal partners where appropriate. Actions shall include collection and consolidation of all drill findings and preparation of corrective action plans. Participate in monthly meetings of the Emergency Planning Group (EPG), quarterly meetings of the Incident Management Team (IMT), and, as applicable, in regional and state emergency management meetings.
