Emerging Scholars Forum 2026 | 15-16 January 2026 | Singapore

The College of Engineering (CoE) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore invites outstanding senior graduate students and postdoctoral fellows from around the world to apply for the Emerging Scholars Forum 2026. This exclusive platform offers the chance to connect with leading academics, explore collaborative opportunities, and gain valuable insights into one of the world’s top engineering colleges.

This interdisciplinary forum will bring together exceptional early-career researchers in Engineering and Chemistry to discuss cutting-edge research, experience the vibrant academic environment at NTU, and network with peers and potential mentors. Selected participants will have their travel and accommodation expenses fully covered by NTU.

Who Should Apply

We welcome outstanding senior graduate students and postdoctoral fellows with expertise in all areas of Engineering and Chemistry, including but not limited to:

Chemistry, Chemical Engineering & Biotechnology (CCEB)

  • Catalysis (homogeneous, heterogeneous, biocatalysis)
  • Chemical biology, advanced spectroscopy, (bio)analytical technologies
  • Polymer science & engineering, process systems engineering
  • Nanotherapeutics, biomaterials, regenerative medicine, synthetic biology
  • Medical devices, bioimaging, microscopy

Civil & Environmental Engineering (CEE)

  • Coastal protection, geotechnical & structural engineering
  • Low-carbon materials, construction management
  • Environmental science & maritime studies

Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE)

  • Renewable energy, smart power grids, robotics
  • Microelectronics, quantum technologies, integrated circuit design
  • Next-gen wireless, optical communications, space-based systems

Materials Science & Engineering (MSE)

  • Materials for extreme environments, sustainable applications
  • Biomaterials, nanomaterials, quantum materials, photonics
  • Renewable energy & catalysis

Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE)

  • Aerospace propulsion & electrification, advanced manufacturing
  • Robotics, industrial AI, biomechanics
  • Renewable energy, hydrogen technologies, carbon management
