About the Team:
The Employee Experience team sits within People & Culture and plays a critical role in supporting staff across the University. The team delivers responsive, high-quality support services and ensures a seamless employee experience across the employment lifecycle.
About the Role:
As an Employee Experience Advisor, you will act as a key point of contact for People & Culture enquiries, supporting employees and managers through the VU People First Helpdesk and HR operations.
This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional who can deliver efficient, high-quality HR support. You will contribute to a positive employee experience by resolving queries, processing HR transactions, maintaining data integrity, and supporting continuous improvement across systems and processes.
Position Key Duties
Examples of the key duties associated with the role:
- Act as a key point of contact for People & Culture enquiries via the People First Helpdesk
- Provide advice and guidance to employees and managers on HR processes, policies, and systems
- Process HR transactions and maintain employee records, including positions and assignments
- Support onboarding and employment administration, including background and compliance checks
- Maintain accurate data and conduct audits to ensure integrity across HR systems
- Coordinate and escalate complex queries to relevant teams as required
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes, knowledge content, and service delivery
- Support reporting and use data insights to inform decision-making and improvements Collaborate with People & Culture teams and stakeholders to deliver effective solutions
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and values-driven workplace culture
Position Details
- Classification: HEP 6
- Salary: $91,796 - $99,361 Plus 17% Super
- Employment Type: Full Time – 12 Month Fixed Term
- Hours per Week: 36.75/1 FTE
- Location: Footscray Park Campus – 3 days on-site
