Employment Specialist II
Under direction of the Manager of Human Resources this position is responsible for the employment process for the University, in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. This position will deal professionally with highly confidential information and requires a high degree of customer focus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of Human Resources practices and Federal/State employment laws and regulations
- Knowledge of applicant tracking systems
- Strong computer/technology proficiency including Microsoft Office applications
- Proven problem-solving, analytical skills, and the ability to approach complex problems logically and systematically
- Outstanding attention to detail and follow- through skills
- Strong organization and prioritization skills
- Experience dealing with confidential information and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to engage in independent thinking, decision making, and initiative to solve problems
- Exceptional teamwork with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate to all employees at all levels with tact and diplomacy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; to prioritize and complete tasks while working under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative with a results and customer focused attitude
- Committed to working in an organization that values and promotes humanism.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
- Experience: Three years demonstrated, strong administrative/clerical support in a Human Resources environment with emphasis on the employment process.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree preferred
- Experience: System experience in Banner and PeopleAdmin strongly preferred.
