Overview
The aim of the Energetics and Power Engineering programme at Kaunas University of Technology is to prepare the highly qualified scientists of energetics and power engineering for industry and education institutions.

Accreditation
Right to doctoral studies acquired in cooperation with the Lithuanian Energy Institute. Right to doctoral studies approved by the order No. V-1124 of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania of 21 June 2011.

Mathematics Requirements
Online Mathematics Placement Test (OMPT). Applies to: students without alternative proof. OMPT-D Minimum score of 75%.
English requirements
TOEFL iBT 75 OR IELTS 5.5. TOEFL iBT is accepted by more than 13,000 universities and other institutions in over 160 countries. The test can be taken at a test center or at home. The test measures your English-language abilities in an academic setting. The score refers to the total score of 4 subjects (writing, listening, speaking, and reading), each subject has a range of 0 - 30. IELTS tests your English-language proficiency on a scale of 1 - 9. The score refers to the combined average score of 4 subjects (writing, listening, speaking, and reading).

General requirements
- Application indicating the science field, the topic and the form of funding (online);
- Official legalised Master's diploma with the diploma supplement or a higher education degree equivalents and academic transcripts (translated into English or Lithuanian and notary verified) and the certificate of recognition if higher education qualification acquired abroad;
- Curriculum Vitae;
- Recommendations by two researchers of the relevant science field;
- A research proposal on the selected topic;
- A copy of a valid personal document: a passport (for citizens of all countries) or an ID card (only for citizens of the European Union);
- A copy of the receipt of the application fee payment (55 EUR for EU citizens, and 132 EUR for non-EU citizens);
