Job Description:

DEPARTMENT: Office of Engaged Teaching & Learning, Academic Affairs

POSITION TITLE: Engaged Teaching and Learning Assistant (Part-time)

SUPERVISOR: Assistant Vice Chancellor, Engaged Teaching and Learning

PURPOSE: The Engaged Teaching & Learning Assistant will provide part-time support to the Office of Engaged Teaching and Learning (ETL), working closely with the AVC and faculty/staff ETL directors. This position will provide assistance and support for key ETL units, including the Center for Opportunity, Research and Experiential Learning (CORE), the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE), the Honors Program, the Career Center, and Technovation. This role will also support the Command Your Career initiative through data collection, benchmarking support, and assistance with internal communications and promotional materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and edit flyers, graphics, and written content for ETL promotional materials
• Support internal communications related to Engaged Teaching and Learning priorities
• Support data collection and analysis related to Engaged Teaching and Learning initiatives
• Assist in collecting, organizing, and maintaining data related to the Command Your Career initiative, as assigned
• Pull relevant information to support benchmarking and progress tracking for Command Your Career
• Collaborate with ETL faculty/staff on logistical and administrative tasks to help implement and promote ETL programs
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of ETL initiatives and events

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Excel, Moodle LMS, Google Workspace, and design platforms (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express)
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and task completion
• Ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively
• Willingness to learn and contribute to a team-oriented environment

HOURS: up to 30 hours weekly, as assigned
