Job Title: Engagement and Alumni Relations Consultant
Department: Advancement | Development Constituency Fundraising
Leads and directs the overall student and parent engagement strategies at the College of Nursing to enhance student success across programs. Plans and executes programs, experiences, and communications designed to enhance the overall student engagement at the college to build lifelong relationships, community and connectivity with the college. Manages a portfolio of student engagement events and celebrations (for example, Convocation, Pinning Ceremony and Lighting of the Lamp) and looks for future opportunities to celebrate students, the nursing profession and student success. Creation and implementation of parent engagement activities aligning with leadership strategies. Collaboration with student scholarship committee and student resource opportunities along with college Marketing and Communication team. A successful candidate will be passionate about student success and connectivity, creating meaningful moments, will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and will be skilled in managing multiple projects and relationships. Annual evaluations of student experiences and success. This position is empowered and expected to implement a strategic student and parent engagement plan and program for the College of Nursing, resolve problems, questions, and concerns, have excellent communication skills to successfully interact with a variety of stakeholders, and demonstrate a high level of computer competency especially data base and excel. This position works collaboratively with the college advancement team in achieving the team’s overall engagement and retention goals. Additional Information:
Desired Experience Required: Minimum 4 years in constituent engagement; experience in managing events, student experiences/programs and building relationships, superior customer service in a fast-paced environment, strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects. Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) allowing for result oriented and positive customer service with both internal and external constituents.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications: Master’s degree. Constituent engagement/relationship building or higher education experience in progressively responsible positions; Managing events and constituent experiences, demonstrated computer competency and highly developed knowledge of Microsoft Office systems, specifically Excel table management. Experience with database systems.
