The Engagement and Strategy Coordinator plays a crucial role in shaping the organization's public image and success as a frontline fundraising with responsibilities to discover, cultivate, and successfully solicit individual donors for the purposes of securing major, annual, and planned gifts for Ball State University.
What you'll do and what you'll bring
Position Function: The Engagement & Strategy (ES) Coordinator provides administrative support to ES professional staff as assigned. This individual will be a vital member of the team responsible for engagement, annual giving, digital communications, and donor relations at Ball State University.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide high level support to ES leadership responsible for donor relations, stewardship and digital communications.
- Provide solutions to complex data projects.
- Become proficient in OnBoard, the tool used for board and council governance.
- Identify and update biographical data on alumni.
- Research and help identify graduates excelling professionally and personally.
- Help with the planning and coordination of events.
- Project manage related processes for those assigned as permanent stewardship.
- Use internal resources to learn more about engagement and philanthropy within higher education.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least one year of office/administrative support or related experience.
- Proficiency in using Excel.
- Strong time management and project management skills.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office programs at an advanced level.
- Willingness to work occasional evening and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Three or more years of related experience.
- Experience working with volunteers and administrators.
- Database management experience.
