Engagement Manager

We are seeking two Engagement Managers to join our Strategic Partnerships team within the Vice-Chancellor’s Office. These newly created roles will play a critical part in strengthening AUT’s strategic engagement and advancing the University’s Te Kete strategy through influential partnerships and long-term stakeholder relationships.
These roles are ideal for highly connected relationship builders who thrive in complex environments and can bring together people, ideas and opportunities across diverse sectors.
Stakeholder engagement sits at the centre of these positions. You’ll develop and manage high-value relationships internally and externally, bringing together AUT leaders, industry partners, notable alumni and strategic collaborators to create partnerships that deliver impact.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing strategic stakeholder engagement plans.
- Building trusted relationships across complex stakeholder groups.
- Identifying and cultivating partnership opportunities aligned to AUT’s strategy.
- Working collaboratively with senior leaders, faculties and support teams.
- Establishing long-term partnerships that generate measurable outcomes.
- Identifying alumni and donor opportunities in collaboration with AUT Foundation.
- Representing AUT across key industry and engagement networks.
