This Engineering Doctorate (EngD) programme in Civil and Environmental Engineering programme will provide such an opportunity for engineers and graduated master students.

The faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences of TU Delft, as one of the pioneers in education, has developed a two year EngD programme in three tracks:

Sanitary & Environmental Engineering
Structural & Railway Engineering
Subsurface Constructions & Engineering

General requirements

You will need at least a Master of Science degree or equivalent, preferably in the exact sciences. Excellent marks, being highly motivated and a design oriented attitude are vital.
Doing a EngD at TU Delft requires English proficiency at a certain level to ensure that the candidate is able to communicate and interact well, participate in English-taught courses, and write reports and a final thesis in English. As per 1 January 2022, TU Delft requires candidates for a EngD position to provide TOEFL or IELTS scores as part of the selection procedure.
