About Northeast Petroleum University

Northeast Petroleum University (formerly known as Northeast Petroleum Institute and Daqing Petroleum Institute) is located in Daqing, Heilongjiang Province. NEPU, which was founded in 1960, is an engineering-based institution that promotes the growth of engineering, science, management, liberal arts, economics, law, education, and art. NEPU was designated as one of the 88 national essential universities in 1978. Heilongjiang Province, China National Petroleum Corporation, China Petrochemical Corporation, and China National Offshore Oil Corporation collaborated to build NEPU altogether. In Heilongjiang Province, NEPU is a significant high-level university. NEPU covers an area of 1.6913 million square meters, of which the Qinhuangdao campus covers an area of 333,800 square meters. The school has 66 undergraduate majors and 23 higher vocational majors. There are 20 first-class undergraduate primary construction sites at the provincial level and above, of which 13 are at the national level.

The university recruits foreign teachers all year round.

1. Qualifications and Requirements of Employed Personnel

• 1). Comply with the relevant laws, regulations and rules of the People’s Republic of China; have strong professional quality, team awareness, collective concept and dedication, and be able to consciously abide by the rules and regulations of the school.
• 2). Bachelor degree or above;
• 3). English-speaking foreigners;
• 4). Be in good health and be able to perform the job for which you are employed;
• 5). TESOL or ESL certificate/or at least two years of English teaching experience (preferred)

2. Salary and benefits

• 1). Foreign teachers must work in our school full-time, and the remuneration shall follow the agreed salary system;
• 2). The salary of foreign teachers adopts a monthly salary system and is paid monthly;
• 3). Arrange accommodation, including essential basic furniture, living facilities, etc.;
• 4). Pay-as-you-go wages during holidays (including Mid-Autumn Festival, National Day and Labor Day);
• 5). Extra-class hour allowance will be issued for the part that exceeds the class hours;
• 6). Foreign teachers should pay individual income tax in accordance with the “Individual Income Tax Law of the People’s Republic of China”, and the payment method shall be withheld by the school according to relevant regulations;
• 7). The school purchases medical, accidental injury and other insurance for employed foreign teachers in accordance with relevant national and local government policies.
