Job Overview

Positions for international English instructors for Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Zhuhai Campus, Beijing Normal University (BNU) are recruited for the academic year of 2024 – 2025.

The specifications of the position are as follows:

1. Courses:
   • Intermediate English for Academic Purposes
   • Advanced English Listening and Speaking
   • Critical Reading and Writing (Academic English for different purposes)
   • Public Speaking and Debating (English majors)
   • Oral Communication (English majors)
   • Creative Writing (English majors)
   • English for master candidates
   • English for PhD candidates, etc.
2. Workload:
   • 12-14 teaching hours per week (one teaching hour equals 45 minutes), and other teaching related duties.

Salary and Accommodation:

To be discussed based on the applicants’ prior educational background and workload at BNU. The total income includes three parts:

1. Basic salary (as shown on the contract)
2. International allowances (10000 RMB per school year)
3. Free Apartment on campus will be provided.

Requirements:

Native speakers of English with a TESOL/TEFL certificate preferred;
Applicants, except as stated below, must have teaching or relative full-time work experience of at least 2 years:

1. PhD holders;
2. MA holders in liberal arts majors;
3. MA holders in other majors but with a TESOL/TEFL certificate.
4. BA holders in Education/Linguistics majors
