Job Overview

Positions for full-time English instructors for the School of Foreign Languages and Literature at BNU (Beijing) for the academic year of 2026-2028 (from late-August 2026 to mid-July 2027, either one-year to 2027 or two-year contract to 2028).

The specifications of the position are as follows:

• Courses: Speaking (Public Speech, Debating, Practical Communication), Comprehensive Reading (Critical Reading & Writing), Writing (Academic writing, Creative writing), Western Culture, etc.;
• Workload: 12 teaching hours per week (one teaching hour equals 45 minutes), plus 2 office hours per week and other teaching related duties;

Salary & Accommodation:

To be discussed based on the applicants’ prior educational background and workload at BNU. The total income includes three parts:

1. Basic salary (as shown on the contract);
2. International travel allowances (10000RMB per school year);
3. Free Apartment on campus will be provided with necessary furniture and home appliances.

Requirements:

• Native speakers of English; TESOL/TEFL certificate preferred;
• Applicants, except as stated below, must have teaching or relative full-time work experience of at least 2 years:
  1. MA holders in liberal arts majors;
  2. BA holders in Education/Linguistics majors;
  3. MA holders in other majors but with a TESOL/TEFL certificate;
