Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) is a key university under direct administration from the Ministry of Education and is one of the 100 top universities in the 21st century. Candidates should have the ability to teach a variety of classes, such as listening, speaking and writing, British/American society and culture, newspaper reading, literatures, etc.

The teaching load can vary, depending upon the Department’s needs, and teacher requests approved in advance. The minimum teaching load is 16 hours per week, or 16 credit hours, successful candidates will be expected to prepare lessons, correct written assignments and have 2 office hours per week consulting students who may have questions on their studies. Successful candidates are also expected to help develop the environment of English language learning in the University and the School. Specifically, each teacher will present one English lecture on topics agreed upon by the teacher and the School. Teachers may also be asked to judge various English contests; i.e. writing and speaking, and to tape record questions for examinations.

Candidates should be NATIVE English speakers, have at least a Bachelor degree and 2 years teaching experience. A publication record is preferable. Candidates should be committed to high quality teaching and a willingness to assist students.

Salary will be within the range of 72,000-132,000 RMB per annum, depending on the teaching load, qualifications and experience. Accommodation and travel allowance are offered. Therefore the whole package is worth 108,398-168,396 RMB per annum.
