Located in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province and the largest city in central China, Wuhan City College formerly known as Wuhan University of Science and Technology (WUST), is a key public higher learning institution claiming traditional strengths in engineering and sciences, which are integrated with contemporary popular disciplines such as medicine, economics, management, humanities, art, law, and philosophy.

Our university has two campuses, namely the East Lake Campus and the Hong’an Campus. As for foreign teachers, they are required to teach at the Hong’an Campus for two days a week. To facilitate the commute, our university provides shuttle buses. Additionally, we offer free accommodation at the Hong’an Campus for one day per week. You can choose to commute on the same day or stay overnight at the Hong’an Campus. The one-way journey between the campuses takes approximately one hour. Your main accommodation is in the East Lake Campus.

• 1. Location: Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China
• 2. Teaching oral English to students aged 18-21 (English majors)
• 3. Making lesson preparation and delivering lessons according to university course
• 4. Evaluating students process and providing ongoing guidance for improvement
• 5. Participating school activities such as English Corner
• 6. Work days: Monday-Friday, 2 days off on weekend, no office hour
• 7. Work hours: 16-18 teaching hours per week (45 minutes/ teaching hour)

Salary and Benefits:

• 1. Salary: around 10,000 – 11,000 yuan (depends on the work hours and qualifications)
• 2. Accommodation: free of charge, well-decorated and full-furnished apartment; utilities bill on the employer.
• 3. Vacation: full paid one-month winter vacation.
• 4. Tour in China: winter vacation allowance of RMB1,100.
• 5. Airfare Allowance: maximum RMB8,000 reimbursement of round-trip airfare upon the contract fulfillment.
• 6. Insurance: Chinese National Social Insurance & accident insurance (commercial）
• 7. Work Visa: offer work Z visa.
• 8. If teachers renew the contract, the next one will be 12-month contract, including summer holiday and winter holiday (July will be 70% salary, the other months is 100% salary)

Requirement:

• 1. From English-Speaking countries, native English speaker
• 2. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
• 3. TEFL/TESOL or CELTA certificate is preferred
• 4. With 2-year (or above) work experience is preferred
