English Teacher Position

Position: English language teacher for English majors/non-English majors at Fuzhou University Zhicheng College, Fuzhou, China.

Qualifications

• Native English speakers, a recognized TEFL/TESOL certificate is preferable
• Between 25 and 55 years old, in good physical condition
• At least bachelor’s degree or higher, minimum two years of formal teaching experience
• High commitment and good interpersonal communication skill

Salary, Allowance and Award

• Monthly salary 10000RMB, for 11 months in a year
• International travel allowance: 600-900RMB/month for 11 months (distributed into monthly salary; depends on distance)
• Meal Allowance: 300RMB/month for 12 months
• Free on-campus accommodation and 100RMB/month utilities allowance. Or 500RMB/month accommodation allowance for off-campus living for 11 months (distributed into monthly salary)
• 4800RMB at the end of each academic term (two terms) for adequate teaching workload and performance

Period of Service

One academic year to start, possible extension

Job Description

• Average of 16 classroom teaching hours per week, 45 mins per teaching hour
• Conduct the English Corner
• Coach students for academic competitions
