English Teacher (Start Sept. 2026)

English teacher, 1

Responsibilities:

1. Teaching: deliver courses for students.
2. Public management & service: revise and polish papers from faculty or students and English documents; participate in the construction of English website and the polishing of pamphlets if necessary; do some other work such as joint research or curriculum construction work with Chinese teachers if necessary; conduct 2-3 academic forums annually according to the needs of the college; serve as a judge for various English language contests organized by the college 2-3 times each semester.

Requirements:

1. Physical and mental health, no criminal record.
2. Academic qualification: master degree or above.
3. Majors: mainly including English linguistics and applied linguistics, language pedagogy, American and English literature, cross-cultural communication, higher education, etc.
4. Work experience: more than 3 years of English teaching experience in China is preferred.
5. Language and Certificate Requirements: English-Native speakers with teaching qualification are preferred; Non-native English speakers are required to hold a DELTA (Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate or an Education Registration and Teacher’s Certificate issued by the Ontario College of Teachers.
6. Others: postdoctoral experience is preferred.
