The Department of Management and Marketing is inviting accomplished professionals to join us as Enterprise Fellows. These appointments will strengthen our engagement with industry, community, and public sector partners while advancing our commitment to impactful research and teaching. We seek individuals with substantial professional expertise who can bring fresh insights and real-world experience into an academic setting, enriching our work in areas such as digital marketing and marketing analytics, human resource management and technology, entrepreneurship and innovation, and business strategy.

Enterprise Fellows will play a meaningful role in teaching and engagement activities across these domains and contribute actively to the collegial and intellectual life of the department. We are looking for dynamic professionals with exceptional communication skills and a strong commitment to innovation—individuals who can help us bridge the gap between theory and practice and make a genuine impact on our academic community.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Strengthening industry, community and public-sector engagement by contributing to research collaborations, supporting bid proposals, and participating in relevant conferences, seminars and workshops.
  • Enhancing teaching and learning by developing curricula and learning materials, including for capstone, experiential and technology-enabled subjects, and preparing, delivering and coordinating lectures, seminars and short courses across undergraduate, postgraduate and executive education programs.
  • Expanding professional and executive education by designing and delivering micro-certificates, masterclasses, open-enrolment courses, and custom programs that draw on contemporary industry practice.
  • Contributing to leadership and service by supporting departmental and university committees, participating in key events, engaging with professional associations, and providing expert advice to government, industry and community organisations.

You may be a great fit if you:

Lecturer (Level B)

  • Completed a Masters degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Have professional experience in a senior role in one or more industry, community and/or public sector.
  • Have the ability to develop new engagement activities and capacity to build partnerships.
  • Have the ability to teach subjects at undergraduate or masters level.
  • Demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and engagement activities.
  • Demonstrate evidence of collegiality to foster a high level of achievement.
  • Demonstrate capability to work actively with colleagues within small groups as part of a large organisation.

Senior Lecturer (Level C)

  • Completed a Masters degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Have extensive professional experience in a senior role in one or more industry, community and/or public sector.
  • Are recognised for achievements in industry, community and/or public sector.
  • Have experience in developing engagement activities or partnerships with industry, community and/or public sector.
  • Demonstrate evidence of quality teaching in a broad range of subjects at undergraduate level, masters level or in executive education programs.
  • Demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching and engagement activities.
  • Demonstrate evidence of collegiality to foster a high level of achievement.
  • Demonstrate capability to work actively with colleagues within small groups as part of a large organisation.

Your new team – The Department of Management and Marketing

The Department of Management and Marketing has more than one-hundred full-time equivalent academic staff in continuing positions and forty PhD students, supported by twelve full-time equivalent professional staff members. Currently, the Department has several thousand student enrolments in 139 subjects. The Department is nominally organised in five clusters: Human Resource Management, Strategy/International Business, Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain Management, and Organisation Studies. It also covers Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Business Sustainability as cross-disciplinary areas. The department also has three research hubs: Wellbeing Through Prevention: Melbourne Health and Business Research Hub, Sustainability Research Hub, and Human–AI Enhancement & Learning (HEAL) Research Hub. The Department’s research objective is to produce high quality and impactful research, as evidenced through publications in top-tier international journals.
