Enterprise Systems Analyst I
Position Description
The Enterprise Systems Analyst I's scope of responsibility includes providing enterprise system design and architecture implementation, planning, and deployment support, as well as, administration of multiple enterprise systems. This includes consulting with users on specification requirements. Discretion and sound judgment is expected.
Enterprise positions are restricted for use in central IT Division areas reporting to the institutional CIO and, as such, may interface with key IT leadership and/or other functional leadership from the Texas Tech University System institutions.
Major/Essential Functions
Works independently and/or with team members to:
- Provide architectural design, development, testing, installation, deployment, maintenance, and administration of enterprise hardware and software systems.
- Perform systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications.
- Support enterprise hardware and software systems through system monitoring, problem diagnosis and resolution, configuration management, systems programming, and systems integration.
- Ability to manage planning, implementation, deployment, and administration for multiple enterprise systems.
- May interface with key IT leadership and/or other functional leadership from the Texas Tech University System institutions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with coursework in computer science, MIS, IT, or other related area plus five (5) years related full-time paid experience OR a combination of related education and/or experience. Applicants for this Security Sensitive Level II position will be subject to a criminal background check and must pass a drug and alcohol test after a conditional offer of employment has been extended, but before employment can be confirmed.
This position will serve as a ServiceNow system administrator. Due to new FedRAMP (Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program) requirements, access to the ServiceNow Government Cloud is restricted to US citizens. US Citizenship is required for this position.
FedRAMP is a U.S. government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. It ensures cloud services used by federal agencies meet rigorous security standards, aiming to accelerate the adoption of secure, authorized cloud solutions.
This position is designated as involving access to critical infrastructure systems and/or research, as defined by Texas Executive Order GA-48. As such, candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment. Employees are required to comply with all applicable state and federal regulations related to the protection of critical infrastructure. Ongoing employment is dependent upon maintaining eligibility for access and successfully passing periodic security and compliance reviews.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated expert level experience with:
- Planning, organizing, and managing hardware and/or software projects and time effectively and efficiently.
- Selected advanced enterprise hardware and/or software and technology operations required by area or unit.
- Training in advanced enterprise hardware and software use and support through education or experience.
ServiceNow administration or development experience in any of ITSM, CSM, FSM, CMDB, or SPM; ServiceNow Service Portal Experience highly preferred; Expertise in SEO and driving web traffic to the correct pages; Google Analytics experience; Intermediate to advanced experience working with web languages (HTML5, CSS, Javascript, PHP, Angular, AngularJS, Etc.); Intermediate database skills, MS SQL preferred, including working with both queries and stored procedures; Intermediate experience working with .NET programming languages, preferably C#; Experience with problem-solving and utilizing troubleshooting techniques.
Pay Range
$65,200 - $84,800 - $104,300
