Job Duties: We are seeking a Project Program Manager to join our Technology Entrepreneurship Office (TEO) and oversee a portfolio of interconnected projects and ongoing operations. In this role, you'll report to the Director of the Technology Entrepreneurship Office. You'll be the driving force behind TEO’s programs, creating the structure and managing resources to ensure all components are aligned and working together efficiently.
You will be instrumental in the office's mission to coordinate student innovation and entrepreneurship (I&E) training, recruitment, engagement, mentor support, and partnership building. You'll also manage marketing, communications, and data analysis, and reporting. As a catalyst and facilitator, you'll provide students with the guidance, resources, and opportunities they need to explore their entrepreneurial potential and develop innovative ventures.
In this role, you'll be responsible for the big picture, monitoring the entire program's cost, schedule, and performance to ensure its ultimate success. Key Job Responsibilities:
- Partnership building – Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal and external partners, including faculty, alumni, industry professionals, community organizations, and potential funders, to provide students with resources and opportunities.
- Creates a program plan and structure, monitors progress and performance against the program plan, and identifies, resolves, or escalates program risks and issues.
- Facilitates the estimation of program costs, resources, and time required to complete the overall program, monitors activities and budgets, directs and leads component project manager activities for consistency and alignment, and works with program leadership to ensure these targets are met. Follows established change control processes if targets can no longer be met.
- Leads and manages efforts to determine and coordinate the sharing of resources among component projects to the overall benefit of the program.
- Prepares regular reports to communicate the status of the program within and beyond the program team, communicates program goals, risks, and status with program executive level, program sponsors, and stakeholders, and develops and uses appropriate dashboards, measures, and reporting tools.
- Manages the activities of outside contractors and vendors to ensure they are integrated into the program and that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
- Sets priorities, allocates tasks, and collaborates with project staff to meet program targets and milestones. Manages the change control process and acts as the mid-level decision making authority.
- Student recruitment and engagement – Actively recruit students and faculty to participate in innovation and entrepreneurship programs. This could involve presentations, workshops, marketing materials, and other methods of outreach.

Compensation: The starting salary for the position is $87,112, but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
Required Qualifications: Minimum 3 years professional experience in higher education student and/or faculty programs or entrepreneurial programs working directly with clients. Minimum 1 year experience working with Microsoft Suite and SharePoint.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with marketing automation, CRM, or project management tools, such as Salesforce, Eloqua, and Smartsheet. Experience with data analysis and assessment. Including data collection, management, and analysis for the purpose of program evaluation and improvement. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with students, faculty, staff, and external partners. Proven ability to plan, organize, and execute programs and events, including budgets and logistics. Experience guiding and motivating students in a registered student organization. Experience with NSF I-Corps programs, or other entrepreneurial programs (e.g., small business development center). 1-year professional experience working in a student-facing role.
Education: Required: BS in STEM field. Preferred: Master's degree.
