This is a 12-month Faculty position at the Arkansas Environmental Training Academy. The primary function of this position is to teach in the Academy’s Environmental Health & Safety Program division. This position serves under the Director of the Arkansas Environmental Training Academy or his designee.

Examples of Duties:
Duties of the position will include but not be limited to the following duties:
- Teach Environmental Health & Safety courses on-campus, off-campus, by alternative methods of delivery (Zoom/Internet, etc.).
- Work with the AETA EHS Program Coordinator to Develop and/or Revise Environmental Health & Safety curriculums to keep current with changing technologies and state and federal regulatory requirements.
- Work with the AETA EHS Program Coordinator to deliver training statewide.
- Attend meetings, trainings, workshops, seminars, and conferences as requested.
- Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety related field.
- Knowledge of safety rules, regulations and procedures.
- Knowledge of Hazwoper, DOT Hazardous Material Transportation, OSHA General Industry and/or OSHA Construction Industry standards.
- Must possess the skills necessary deliver environmental health and safety training to students and industry groups.
- Background check required.
Preferred Qualificaitons:
- OSHA Authorized Trainer for General Industry and Construction Industry standards.
- Associate’s or Bachelor Degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Physical Science, or Chemistry.
- Teaching experience with curriculum development and delivery.

- On-Campus 40 hour week position. If not residing with a reasonable commuting distance, relocation is expected.
